CORRESPONDENCE COURSES INTRODUCED
The
Middle East Center for Studies and Public Relations
announced on Wednesday that it had signed an agreement
that would make it easier for correspondence courses via
the Internet.
The center said it had signed an
agreement with the Jones Knowledge Communication company
to represent it in the Middle East.
The company, which specializes in university
teaching over the internet, is linked to over 30
American universities, including Harvard and John
Hopkins.
The
company seeks to help thousands of students in the
Middle East to obtain degrees through the internet from
the best American universities.
Such
students, who cannot afford to live in the United
States, would only stay there for several months a year.
